MOVE 2017 Highlights Need for Sustainable Tourism Measurement in Cities and Regions Now in its 5th year MOVE 2017 brings tourism experts to Pamplona - Navarra, Spain to discuss current trends in sustainable tourism in urban and rural destinations. Hosted by the Government of the Autonomous Community of Navarra, with the contribution of tourism measurement consultancy in2destination, within the framework of INRouTe expert network and with the participation of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the three-day conference addresses how to better measure, hence manage, a rapidly evolving tourism sector. This year representatives from destinations including Orlando, USA, Venice, Italy, Barcelona, Spain and Reykjavik, Iceland will tackle challenging questions that will shape the future of tourism. The conference will be held from November 22 to 24, 2017 in Pamplona Navarra, Spain. Designed for tourism sector key stakeholders interested in the measurement and better understanding of economic, environmental and social effects of tourism, experts will take on current trends from the European Summer of Over Tourism, smarter measurement, case studies about sustainable tourism from Japan to Gernika, tourism Big Data and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development defined by UN.
