Ainhoa Serna is lecturer and researcher at Mondragon Unibertsitatea (university) in Spain. She has a Ph.D. in Computer Science awarded by the Mondragon Unibertsitatea (2006). Since 2010, she has been Head of the Tourism and Mobility, Research Area. Her research interests are related to Web Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Data Science and Semantic Web with a strong industry orientation. In 2010, she began her specialization in the field of tourism and human mobility. Since that time, she has led research teams at the university and from the Cooperative Research Centre in tourism (CICtourGUNE), to set the scientific agenda in tourism in collaboration with the Basque Network of Science, Technology and Innovation. She has authored or co-authored over 50 publications on research themes related to urban mobility, transport, Big Data, Social Media and tourism. This work has been published in a wide-variety of languages, including English, Spanish and French.
